Motorola’s first smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera, the Motorola One Hyper, has appeared on FCC certification website after it turned up for NBTC certification in Thailand last week. The FCC certification doesn’t reveal much in terms of specs but confirms that the One Hyper will make use of 4,000mAh battery instead of the rumored 3,600mAh battery.

Apart from the battery, the FCC listing also gives away that the Motorola One Hyper will come with NFC support if one listed image of the backside of the phone is analyzed. About the physical dimension, the smartphone is 160mm tall and 71mm wide.

The FCC filing also suggests the phone spans 170mm diagonally, meaning 6.69 inches, including the bezels. So the actual display size might be smaller than the 6.39 inches as picked up by the rumor mills earlier.

Motorola is yet to reveal anything about the Motorola One Hyper, but supposed specs are already doing the rounds. Per the rumors, the smartphone will be underpinned by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC that also powers the Motorola Z4. The Motorola One Hyper is expected to pack 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The display is likely to be of Super AMOLED technology with full HD+ resolution. According to previous leaked renders the Motorola One Hyper will have a dedicated rear-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of being embedded into the Motorola batwing logo. An LED ring for notifications will surround a scanner.

The camera will be the strong suit of the smartphone as the latter will tack on a 64MP primary camera along with an 18MP secondary sensor as part of the dual-rear-camera setup. A 32MP selfie shooter will find a place inside the pop-up slider. The Motorola One Hyper is another one in the lines of the camera-centric One-series smartphones such as the recently launched Motorola One Vision, One Zoom, One Action, and One Macro.

It is not known when the One Hyper will make its debut but given it has cleared the FCC certification it looks to imminent. Meanwhile, the Lenovo-owned company is unveiling the foldable Motorola RAZR 2019 on November 13.

Motorola RAZR 2019 is the reimagined Motorola Flip phone with a clamshell form factor, but it uses a seamless single OLED display of 6.18 inches inside while a secondary display is also tacked on to the front. The foldable RAZR 2019 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, up to 6GB RAM, and 8MP/12MP camera configuration from front and back.
