OnePlus is well known for making flagship smartphones, as qualitative as the ones from Apple and Samsung, but at just half the price. The Chinese brand is now going to apply the same mantra in smart TV space as its first TV simply called the OnePlus TV is set to launch next month.

The company aims to take on the electronics giants like Sony, LG, Samsung, and Panasonic with its internet-enabled feature-rich smart TVs at aggressive price points. The OnePlus TV will first debut in India followed by launches in International markets such as the US, Europe, and China.

The OnePlus TV is expected to come in a variety of screen sizes ranging from 43-inch to 75-inch but OnePlus confirmed that Indian version will be equipped with a 55-inch QLED screen. Expectedly, the 75-inch model is reserved for the markets in China and the US.

Besides the screen size, the spec list of the OnePlus TV has also cropped up courtesy of a screenshot captured from Google Developer Console listing. As per the listing, the OnePlus TV is codenamed “Dosa” after the name of a popular expansive flat dish from South India. The codename Dosa likely alludes to the nature of the display of the TV.

The listing further reveals that the OnePlus TV will be powered by a MediaTek MT5670 SoC mated to Mali-G51 GPU and 3GB RAM. The TV will run Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.

In the listing, the resolution of the screen appears to be the 1080p but it will likely have HDR 4K content playback support. OnePlus India also confirms that OnePlus TV will arrive with Dolby Vision support.

Alongside the OnePlus TV, the company is reportedly gearing to launch the OnePlus 7T smartphone as well, which is a mid-year refresh of the OnePlus 7. The new smartphone is likely to pack a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, up to 8GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage with no expansion support.

In the latest leak, the renders of the OnePlus 7T have surfaced online courtesy of @OnLeaks.
