The top-end OPPO Find X2 might launch anytime soon, but in the meantime, the Chinese manufacturer has quietly launched a mid-tier smartphone in the Indonesian market. Dubbed as the OPPO A31 (2020), the new phone brings the conventional notched display and triple-rear camera setup.

The OPPO A31 is covered by a 6.5-inch display with 720×1600 HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. On the inside, the OPPO A31 is fueled by a 12nm octa-core Helio P35 SoC from MediaTek that is paired with a standard 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD card.

In terms of software, the smartphone boots company’s user interface ColorOS 6.1 running on top of Android 9 Pie. A 4,230mAh battery charges the phone over the micro-USB port.

Around the back, the OPPO A31 mounts a triple-camera setup aligned at the top-left corner along with a fingerprint scanner sitting in the middle.

The rear-cameras include a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The setup supports HDR and panorama mode while it can shoot 1080p videos at 30 fps.

For selfies and video chatting purposes, the OPPO A31 makes use of an 8MP selfie camera inside the dew-drop notch with f/2.0 aperture.

As far as other notable aspects of the phone are concerned, the OPPO A31 supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, micro USD 2.0, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The smartphone is priced at IDR2,599,000 (Approx. USD190) and is already on sale via OPPO Indonesia as well as leading local retailers. The smartphone is available in Mystery Black and Fantasy White paint jobs. However, the company is yet to reveal as to when the OPPO A31 will hit the international markets.

As said at the outset, OPPO is on the verge of launching the OPPO Find X2. The latter was slated to launch on February 22 at MWC 2020 which now stands canceled due to Coronavirus outbreak. Hopefully, the company will communicate a new launch date for the device quite soon.

The OPPO Find X2 is confirmed to ship with a 120Hz display with QHD+ resolution and 65W Super VOOC fast charging. The latest Snapdragon 865 will be at the helm to power the phone mated to 12GB RAM.

Earlier it was rumored that the Find X2 will arrive with an under-display camera, but the company’s Vice President Brian Shen has recently said that it is “unlikely.”
