The OPPO Reno3 Pro 5G which was launched in China late last year along with the OPPO Reno3 has received its 4G variant dubbed simply as the OPPO Reno3 Pro. The new smartphone is launched in India today with a different processor as well as emphasis laid on the camera. The OPPO Reno3 Pro is touted to be the world’s first smartphone to make use of a 44MP dual-selfie camera.

Compared to the 5G version, the OPPO Reno3 Pro is a tad smaller with a 6.4-inch display. The display comes with Full HD+ (1080x2040p) Super AMOLED resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone features glass at the back which is also Gorilla Glass 5 protected as the front.

The OPPO Reno3 Pro is underpinned by the MediaTek’s newly launched 12nm Helio P95 octa-core SoC mated to PowerVR GM9446 GPU. The Reno3 Pro is also the world’s first smartphone to rock the Helio P95 processor.

The device packs 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB default storage, which is further expandable via a dedicated microSD card. On the software side, it boots ColorOS 7 based-on Android 10 out-of-the-box.

Regarding optics, the OPPO Reno3 Pro has a dual-selfie camera cutout on the front. The module features a 44MP f/2.4 primary sensor paired with a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. The setup can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.

The rear of the phone mounts a quad-camera setup led by a 64MP f/1.7 primary sensor. A 13MP f/2.4 telephoto sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor round off the quad setup. It can capture 3160p videos at 30 fps.

The Reno3 Pro packs a 4,025mAh battery equipped with 30W VOOC FlashCharge 4.0 technology which matches the Reno3 Pro 5G. The battery draws a 50 percent charge in just 20 minutes via USB Type-C port. Also, the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack stages a comeback after missing out on the Reno3 Pro 5G.

Other notable aspects include an under-display fingerprint scanner, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.

Clad in Aurora Blue, Midnight Black, and Sky White color options the Reno3 Pro will be available starting March 6 via both Amazon and Flipkart as well as offline channels. The 256GB variant will, however, hit the shelves at a later date.

As for the pricing, the Reno3 Pro 128GB model is priced at INR29,990 (Approx.USD411) while the 256GB model is set for INR32,990. (Approx. USD452). So far, there is no word whether the OPPO Reno3 Pro will make it to other markets. We will let you know pronto if anything in this regard is revealed by the company. Stay tuned.
