Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL listed in Canada revealing specs and features ahead of launch

Google is set to launch the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL on October 15, but it hasn’t been able to put a lid on a plethora of regularly surfacing leaks. Now ahead of the launch, Best Buy Canada has listed both the phones for preorders placing a kind of official stamp on the so far rumored specs.

The listing has now been taken down quite so unsurprisingly. But 9to5Google has managed to take the screenshots of phones’ marketing materials, which touted their specs and features.

As per the materials, Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will come with several highlighting features, including Quick Gestures, that will let users control the phone without touching it.

Apart from that, the devices will have the broad support of Google Assistant and a simple “point and shoot” way of capturing studio-like photos with nothing new to learn or editing required. Also, the phones will have unlimited back up for original quality Google Photos as well as 4K videos.

The screenshots also include the essential spec list of the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL stacked up against the specs of the Google Pixel 3 XL. Both Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC onboard paired with 6GB RAM. Best Buy listed only 64GB storage variant, but 128GB storage variant will likely be on offer as well.

Since the Pixel 4 series leaps to dual-camera setup, the rear mounts a 12MP+16MP camera configuration with 4K resolution video recording capability. On the front, both the phones feature an 8MP selfie shooter with support for 1080p resolution video recording.

The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will have a full HD+ OLED Smooth Display with the diagonal size of 5.7-inch and 6.7-inch, respectively. The regular Pixel 4 will be powered by a 2,800mAh battery while the larger Pixel 4 XL will derive fuel from a 3,700mAh battery.

Probably Google will eschew the in-display fingerprint scanner from the Pixel 4 lineup as the spec sheet reveals only the Face Unlock for biometrics. Also missing is the Oh So Orange color variant. The listing only showed the images of the phones in Just Black and Clearly White paint jobs.

All said and done; Best Buy didn’t reveal the pricing of Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. However, a leak back in September talked about the alleged pricing for the Ireland market, where the devices will start with a price tag upwards of EUR820 (Approx. USD905).
