The battery number sitting next to it is the part that got me. An official trailer [has appeared](https://www.gsmarena.com/vivo_x300_e_processor_confirmed-news-73881.php) for the vivo X300 E ahead of its July 27 launch in China. It confirms the phone runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with a 7,200 mAh battery, plus a triple rear camera setup that includes a periscope telephoto lens built with ZEISS. What the trailer actually confirmed ----------------------------------- The video shows the phone from every angle and includes details on the chipset for the first time. Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, sitting next to that is the information on the battery, i.e., a 7,200 mAh cell. vivo hasn’t said whether the full camera array gets ZEISS tuning. So far only the telephoto lens carries that name. The wide and ultrawide cameras might be running vivo’s own processing instead, and vivo just hasn’t said either way yet. It confirmed the model number V2612A and three memory configurations including 8GB with 256GB storage, 12GB with 256GB, and 12GB with 512GB. The screen is 6.59 inches. It runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top. On the back, two 50MP sensors and an 8MP one. Up front, a 50MP selfie camera. It weighs 203g and comes in Moonlight White, Sunlight Orange, and Midnight Black. Does the camera setup match the rest of the spec sheet ------------------------------------------------------ The chip and the battery both say flagship. The 8MP ultrawide does not. That’s the one number on this sheet that makes me want to see real sample photos before I call this phone anything. vivo cut a corner somewhere to be able to launch it at a specific price segment, and I think this is where. Pricing and availability will be officially released on July 27. That’s when we find out if the X300 E is priced right.
