The Vivo X27 has received its successor in the form of Vivo X30 series that comprises the Vivo X30 and the Vivo X30 Pro. The new smartphone duos have been launched in China with predominantly identical similarities in terms of specs and features, including the 5G support and one of the tiniest punch-hole cutouts.
Most significantly, the Vivo X30 and X30 Pro are the first smartphones to debut with Samsung’s Exynos 980 SoC, not even any Samsung smartphone has been launched as yet with this processor.
The smartphones feature a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with HDR support and 1200nits peak brightness. The cutout situated on the top-right of the screen on the devices is just 2.98mm in size enclosing a 32MP selfie camera.
What sets both the smartphones apart is the camera at the back. The smartphone Vivo X30 Pro gets four cameras while the Vivo X30 makes use of three cameras aligned vertically on the top-left corner of the back panel.
The three common rear-mounted sensors on both the phones include a 64MP primary sensor, a 32MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For the difference, the X30 Pro gets a fourth 13MP periscope camera, also with 5x optical zoom.
Both the smartphones are stuffed with a 4,350mAh battery supported with the 33W fast charging facility; and for the 5G load and gaming reasons, the smartphones are armed with the gel-based cooling system.
The Vivo X30 and X30 Pro both boot FuntouchOS 10 based on Android 9 Pie. Other notable aspects include an in-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage based on UFS 2.1 with no further expansion support.
The smartphones will be available in Black, Peach, and Light Blue color options with gradient finish on the back.
The Vivo X30 128GB storage model is up for pre-booking priced at CNY3,298 (Approx. USD471) with sales slated for December 28 while the sales of the 256GB model costing CNY3,598 (Approx. USD574) will be announced later.
The Vivo X30 Pro will hit the shelves on December 24 at CNY3,998 (Approx. USD571). The X30 Pro’s 256GB model priced at CNY4,298 (Approx. USD613) will start selling on December 28 along with the X30 128GB model.
The company is yet to announce the global availability of the Vivo X30 series. So, stay tuned for the next update.
