Vivo Y19 launched, packs Helio P65 SoC and 5,000mAh battery


Following the rumors, Vivo’s new Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y19, has finally been shown the daylight. The Vivo V19 is a mid-range oriented smartphone that is the same as the Vivo U3 in terms of design and the specs with the only exception reflecting in the processor. The Vivo Y19 is underpinned by a MediaTek Helio P65 SoC versus the Snapdragon 675 SoC present inside the Vivo U3.

The Vivo Y19 features a gradient back design, triple-rear camera setup, and a notched display upfront. However, a beefy 5,000mAh battery is what is considered the salient aspect of the device.

Vivo Y19 Price and Availability

The Vivo Y19 is first launched in Thailand and Vietnam. The smartphone is priced at THP6,999 (Approx. USD230/EUR200) in Thailand and is already up for preorders ahead of the delivery slated for November 5. About the pricing and the availability of the Vivo Y19 in Vietnam, nothing is revealed as yet.

The smartphone will be available in Magnetic Black and Spring White color options while on the memory front, it will be available only in 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage configuration.

Vivo Y19 Specifications

The Vivo Y19 is built around a 6.53-inch 1080x2340p full HD+ LCD screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a water drop-like notch upfront.

The smartphone is powered by a 12nm MediaTek Helio P65 processor mated to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage with no mention for the expandability support, unlike the Vivo U3. On the software side of things, the Vivo Y19 boots Funtouch OS 9 running atop Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.

The Vivo Y19 mounts three cameras on the back in a vertical layout. The setup includes a 16MP f/1.78 primary sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor. On the front, a 16MP f/2.2 selfie shooter lies inside the notch equipped with a Pose Master feature guiding you in showcasing better clickable poses.

The Vivo Y19 is stuffed with a massive 5,000mAh battery, which supports 18W dual-engine fast charging as well as wired reverse charging. The phone doesn’t have a USB Type-C port; instead, it takes the help of a Micro USB port for charging and file transfer purposes.

For gaming, you get Ultra Game mode that avoids notifications to keep you fully immersed in the game. Also, a Voice Changer option allows for changing your original voice with multiple sound effects, thus making your gameplay more fun.

Amongst other things, the smartphone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The Vivo Y19 is of 193 grams in weight and measures 162.15×76.47×8.89mm in dimension.
