With the confirmation that the Xiaomi’s subsidiary Redmi will take the wrap off the Redmi K30 on December 10 in the homeland, China the smartphone has now leaked on Weibo baring its full spec sheet that mostly jives with what the past rumors had suggested.
The Redmi K30 has been officially confirmed earlier that it will be compatible with dual 5G mode while a 4G model will come in tow. Now the latter, the Redmi K30 4G model in a leak has surfaced on Weibo with full details no longer leaving anything to the imagination.
First thing first, the leak suggests that the smartphone will pack a 6.66-inch 1080p full HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio.
Pumping power from under the hood will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G octa-core SoC which is made by 8nm FinFET process.
The leak talks about only one variant configured with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which will be priced at CNY1,999 (Approx. USD284/EUR254). But likely there will be more variants with different configurations will be on offer.
As was expected the Redmi K30 would indeed make use of dual selfie cameras that, according to the leak, will comprise a 20MP primary shooter and a 2MP depth sensor.
Signalling this the company during the launch of the Redmi 8 earlier last month had put forth a teaser poster of the Redmi K30 that showcased a pill-shaped cutout on the top-right corner of the display for two selfie cameras. With that design, the Redmi K30 eschews the pop-up selfie slider we have seen on its predecessor, the Redmi K20.
On the back, there will be an array of quadruple-cameras highlighted by a 64MP primary sensor. Other three sensors will include a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, an 8MP telephoto sensor, and a 2MP sensor.
The Redmi K30 will boot MIUI 11 running on the latest Android 10 flavor while a 4,500mAh battery will keep things ticking assisted by 27W fast charging technology. Amongst other things, the Redmi K30 4G will have NFC support, IR blaster, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm headphone jack onboard. The Redmi K30 5G variant, more or less, will likely carry the same specs as the 4G variant.
The Redmi 30 lineup also includes a Redmi 30 Pro, but the latter will see the daylight later in the first quarter of 2020 as was confirmed by the company. The Pro version will most probably integrate soon-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, 108MP primary camera, as well as other top-notch specs for preserving the status of being the top-rung flagship in the Redmi portfolio of smartphones. Stay tuned for more updates in this regard in the future.
