INIU SnapGo Air Review: The Slimmest 25W Qi2.2 Power Bank

Every power bank makes you pick a side. Go slim and you charge at a crawl. Go fast and you are carrying a brick that comes out for flights and stays home the rest of the week. The INIU SnapGo Air is built to dodge that choice: a 10,000mAh magnetic bank half an inch thick, about 196 grams, that snaps onto the back of a recent iPhone or Android phone and feeds it up to 25W with nothing plugged in.

That 25W number is the headline. It comes from Qi2.2, the wireless standard the Wireless Power Consortium introduced with its Qi2 25W update, which raised the magnetic-charging ceiling from 15W to 25W. INIU’s lab testing puts an iPhone 17 Pro at 50% in 33 minutes on the pad. Android Authority, which ran the bank through its own bench tests, gave it an Editor’s Choice award and called it one of the best magnetic power banks you can buy.

There are caveats, and they matter. The full 25W only shows up on a short list of recent flagships, and filling a phone all the way wirelessly is slow. As a top-up you keep in a jacket pocket, though, this is one of the most convincing magnetic banks on the market.

Fast to 50%, Honest About the Rest

Plain wireless charging is the reason most of us still grab a cable. Standard Qi tops out around 7.5W on an iPhone, which works out to roughly an hour to limp to 50%. Slow enough that you stop bothering.

Qi2.2 changes the math. With the SnapGo Air locked magnetically to an iPhone 17 Pro, INIU’s testing reports 50% in 33 minutes. That is close to what a modest wired charger does, minus the wire.

Now the honest part, and it lives at the other end of the battery. Topping a phone all the way up wirelessly is still slow. Android Authority clocked more than five hours for a full wireless recharge of an iPhone 17 Pro Max, because the bank throttles its own output to keep cool. So treat the pad for what it is good at: a fast boost before you walk out the door. When you need a full tank in a hurry, reach for the cable.

One more thing the magnet earns you: at 13N of grip, the bank stays attached while you actually use the phone. Walking, filming, gaming, even in a pocket. It does not slide off mid-charge the way a loosely seated puck does.

What Qi2.2 Actually Changes

Qi2.2 is not a small revision. It doubles the wireless ceiling from Qi2’s 15W to 25W, and it bakes a magnetic alignment ring, the same idea behind Apple’s MagSafe, into the standard itself. Better alignment means the coils line up the same way every time, so less energy leaks out as heat and more of it reaches the battery.

It is also an open standard, so it works across recent iPhones and newer Samsung and Google phones rather than one brand’s accessories alone.

One limit to know before you buy: the full 25W only reaches phones that support Qi2.2 at 25W, which today is a short list led by the iPhone 16 and 17 families plus a few recent Samsung and Pixel flagships. On anything else, the SnapGo Air falls back to standard Qi2 speeds. If your phone is older, you are paying for headroom you cannot use yet.

Thin Enough to Carry Everywhere

Capacity like this usually shows up as a slab you can feel in your pocket all day. The SnapGo Air does not.

The SnapGo Air is 0.5 inches (13.7mm) thick and about 196 grams. For context, Anker’s slim 10,000mAh MagGo, one of the thinnest magnetic banks before this, measures 0.58 inches and charges wirelessly at 15W. The SnapGo Air is both thinner and twice as fast on the pad.

The body is anodized aluminum with a soft-touch finish, which puts it closer to a phone accessory than a battery. Snap it onto the back of a phone and it reads as part of the phone, not something bolted on.

One Cable, Two Jobs: The Built-In GoCord

Wireless is for convenience. When you are at 8% with twenty minutes before a meeting, you want a cable. INIU’s answer is the GoCord, a short USB-C cable built into the bank’s strap so it travels with you instead of living in a drawer at home.

Plugged in, the GoCord delivers up to 45W. INIU clocks an iPhone 17 Pro from 20% to 78% in about 25 minutes. The same cable recharges the bank itself in roughly 1.8 hours, so it pulls double duty, and a small side display shows the remaining charge at a glance without adding bulk to the front face.

How It Compares to the Obvious Alternative

Slim 10,000mAh magnetic banks are a crowded shelf. The clearest point of comparison is Anker’s slim MagGo, which set the thin-and-magnetic bar before the SnapGo Air arrived. Here is where they actually differ.

Buy the SnapGo Air if you carry an iPhone 16 or 17, or a recent Samsung or Pixel, and you want the thinnest magnetic bank with a fast cable already attached. It is built for travelling light.

One number to set expectations: like every 10,000mAh bank, conversion losses mean you get less than the label. Independent testing of comparable banks lands around 5,500 to 7,000mAh of delivered power, a little over one full phone charge rather than two days off the grid.

This is the part where most power banks give up. Gray, black, maybe a navy if you are lucky.

The SnapGo Air ships in six finishes: Space Gray, Lunar Silver, Metallic Mocha, Soft Lilac, Sunset Orange, and Midnight Navy. The anodized finish keeps each shade looking deliberate rather than plastic-bright. Metallic Mocha and Sunset Orange in particular look like something you would carry on purpose, and Sunset Orange is a near match for the iPhone 17’s cosmic orange.

It is flight-safe, too. At 10,000mAh the bank works out to roughly 37Wh, well under the 100Wh carry-on limit set by the TSA and FAA. Keep it in your carry-on, never checked luggage, the same rule that applies to any lithium battery.

Know the limits going in, the full 25W wants a recent phone and a complete wireless recharge takes its time, and the rest is easy: few magnetic banks this thin are this convincing. Android Authority landed in the same place and gave it an Editor’s Choice award. At $54.99 in six colors, it is priced like the premium accessory it looks like, and for once that feels fair.
