Google leaked its own phone again. Not a court filing, not some case manufacturer in Vietnam. Google’s own website did it this time.
Google Fi briefly posted an official marketing image of the Pixel 11 Pro before taking it down. The photo showed the phone in a new orange color and referenced a $100 launch deal tied to the bigger Pixel 11 Pro XL.
The orange Pixel that wasn’t supposed to leak yet
Droid Life caught the page before Google scrubbed it. The promo copy labeled the phone as the Pro XL, but the mic placement says otherwise. This is the smaller Pro.
The orange matches a shade we flagged last week, when an Amazon listing named the Pixel 11 Pro’s colors as Dune, Light Fog, Pine, and Sterling. Two leaks, same color, from two separate Google-run pages. I’d bet on this one.
A $100 Pixel 11 Pro XL, if you can get it
Next to the photo sat a promo offering the Pixel 11 Pro XL for $100. The base 256GB Pro XL is expected to retail around $1,099, so a $100 price would be one of the steepest carrier discounts Google has run in years.
The fine print never made it public before Google Fi pulled the page. Deals this steep usually come with strings, a new line, a trade-in, something.
Google can’t stop leaking its own phone
The full lineup already turned up on Amazon with colors and pricing. Before that, an FCC filing did the job. Now it’s Google Fi’s turn. Made by Google is still on the calendar for August 12, and at this point the event might just be Google reading its own leaks back to us.
I already know what the Pixel 11 Pro looks like, what color I’ll probably pick, and roughly what it costs. Google didn’t mean to tell me any of that. It did anyway.
