Vivo X Fold 6 Leak Reveals 200MP Camera and Massive 7000mAh Battery

Foldables have always come with trade-offs, but early leaks suggest Vivo is going big with its next foldable. The upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 could feature a flagship 200MP ZEISS main camera and a near-7,000mAh battery, two specs rarely seen together in foldables. It signals a push toward no-compromise hardware and a focus on improving battery life and imaging.

Vivi X Fold 5

I remember when foldable phones were exciting just for folding. Now Vivo is apparently putting a 200MP camera on one of their upcoming variants, and suddenly I need to sit down.

Early speculations and leaks for the Vivo X Fold 6 are painting a picture of the most camera-focused foldable anyone has ever attempted.

A well-known tech tipster, Digital Chat Station, has shared some exclusive insights and claims the X Fold 6 is being developed as the most imaging-focused foldable yet, reportedly being tested with a 200MP camera and a multispectral sensor for improved color accuracy and more realistic color reproduction. For context, the X Fold 5 had a ZEISS triple 50MP setup. This is a completely different league.

It’s not yet clear whether the 200MP sensor will serve as the main camera or the periscope telephoto unit, but either way, that number on a foldable feels almost absurd in the best possible way. And with Vivo’s long-standing ZEISS partnership likely carrying over, the optics story could be genuinely special here.

The camera isn’t even the only headline. The battery is tipped to land around 6,760mAh rated capacity, with a typical value closer to 7,000mAh, a significant jump over the 6,000mAh unit in the X Fold 5. There’s also mention of a 50MP periscope lens with telemacro support. A near 7,000mAh battery inside a slim foldable chassis would be genuinely impressive engineering if it holds up.

On the chip side, things get interesting. We suspect the possibility of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, considering how the predecessor was powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, so there are higher chances of using a similar but top-tier chip, which would make it one of the premium foldable phones.

One small feature I’ll miss, though.

The iconic dual ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that defined previous X Fold models is rumored to be gone and might possibly be replaced by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, just like most other foldables. I understand the design logic, but I loved that feature. It felt premium and different.

The X Fold 6 will likely launch in China first, with a wider rollout following later, probably around mid-2026, based on Vivo’s usual pattern.
