Yes, you read that right! 🙂

To make this happen, all you really need is:

  • An Android device,
  • Download PokeSniper APK (link below),
  • An active Internet connection,
  • Your Pokémon Go (PTC) account details, and
  • Our easy-to-follow interactive guide is given below.

What is PokeSniper?

PokeSniper is a Pokémon Go sniper app for Android devices that you can use to catch all those ultra-rare and legendary Pokémon without moving an inch away from your comfortable sofa. It is a simple and easy-to-use app that allows you to catch virtually unlimited Pokémon, and most importantly, the app is softban proof because it uses an outstanding feature called ‘home coordinates’.

IMPORTANT:

Before you snipe any Pokemon, please don’t forget to read the FAQ (frequently asked questions) section to avoid any possible bans like softban and shadow ban.

The PokeSniper app provides a simplified interface where you can add the details of the targeted Pokemon you want to snipe including its name and coordinates (latitude and longitude), both of which you can easily find and copy from the Pokemon sniping sites. Once the details are entered, then with just a tap of a button, the app will snipe that Pokémon for you and add it to your Pokemon account Pokebag.

It is a powerful app and can help you quickly complete your Pokedex by sniping all those rare and regional Pokemon.

The app allows you to add multiple Pokémon Trainer Club (PTC) accounts and also lets you seamlessly transfer all those captured Pokémon between the added PTC accounts.

There are 8-steps in total.

The Account drop-down box will show “No Account”. So first you need to add the Pokémon GO account in PokeSniper.

Step 3 – Tap on the “Accounts” option.

Step 4 – Under the Accounts section, tap on the “ADD NEW ACCOUNT” button. It is located at the bottom of the screen.

IMPORTANT: To find the right home coordinates, please check the tip given below.
  4. Google Account? If you entered your Google account detail in the username and password box, then enable this option. Otherwise, if you use a Pokemon Trainer Club account then leave this option disabled.

TIP: How To Find the Correct Home Coordinates?

The home coordinate is the location/position where you last used Pokémon Go. To find the exact coordinates, i.e. latitude and longitude, please follow these steps:

  1. On your Android device, open any web browser and go to the website: http://latlong.net.
  2. In the “Place Name” box, type the address where you last used Pokémon Go. [Example: 15th Street, Brooklyn, New York]
  3. Tap on the “Find” button.
  4. Within a few seconds, the “Latitude” and “Longitude” boxes will be filled with the coordinates of the address you entered in the Place Name box. [Example: Latitude: 40.665572, Longitude: -73.989314]
  5. Now enter those coordinates in this format: (latitude, longitude) in the PokeSniper “Home Coordinates” box, as shown in the screenshot below. [Example: 40.665572, -73.989314]

Once all the boxes are properly filled. Tap on the “SAVE” button to save your account settings.

Step 6 – Your Pokémon Go account should now be visible under the Accounts section.

Do you know you can create unlimited Pokemon Trainer Club verified accounts? Want to know how? Check our guide available here. 😀

Step 7 – Tap on the Back icon to navigate to the main screen.

Step 8 – Now you will notice the Account drop-down box shows your PTC account username/email address. This means you are now all set to snipe Pokémon.

How To Snipe Pokemon Using PokeSniper

This section is all about sniping Pokemon on Android using the properly configured PokeSniper app. The steps are as follows:

Step 1 – To snipe Pokémon, you have to tap on the Menu button located in the top-left corner to open the side menu.

Step 2 – Tap on the “Hunt Coordinates” option.

Step 3 – Under the Hunt Coordinates section, you will see the following three options:

  • PokeZZ,
  • PokeDexs,
  • My Pogo Snipers.

Only two of the above-mentioned options support the “Auto Snipe” feature. However, you can use all three of them as a source to acquire the Pokemon coordinates you want to catch and then snipe them via PokeSniper.

Tapping on any option will simply open its website. [Example: I am using “PokeZZ” in this tutorial]

Are those coordinates sites not working? Here are the best Pokemon sniping alternative sites you can use to find and snipe 100IV Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokemon. 😀

Step 4 – Once the website is loaded, scroll down a little bit until you will see an automatically refreshing list of Pokémon along with their details like Pokémon’s picture, Pokémon’s Name, coordinates, IV percentage, and Skills.

You can even select your favorite Pokémon from the list and filter out the results using the filter functionality given within the website.

Step 5 – In that list, if you find any Pokémon that you want to snipe then simply tap on the “Poke Sniper” option given in that Pokémon box.

Step 6 – Within a second, you will be redirected to the PokeSniper app and all the required details (Pokémon name and coordinates) of that Pokémon will be filled in automatically, as highlighted in the screenshot below.

Now tap on the “SNIPE THOSE BITCHES!” button to start sniping Pokémon.

Step 7 – You will now notice a similar process in the log box as shown below:

  • Trying to login to your account,
  • Login success,
  • Pokémon in sight: 2,
  • Attempt to catch Pokémon,
  • Pokémon captured (CP: 25) (IV: 95).

If you see the message “Pokémon captured” in the log box, this means the PokeSniper has successfully sniped the targeted Pokémon and it added to your collection.

Congratulations! 😀

Step 8 – Now, you can even check the Pokemon type, CP score, and IV of all the captured Pokémon right from the PokeSniper app.

To do so, tap on the Menu button located in the top-left corner.

Step 9 – Then, tap on the “PokeBag” option.

Step 10 – It will prompt you to pick the Pokémon Go account. Select the account you want to access and then tap on the “OK” button.

Step 11 – In a few seconds, PokeSniper will show a list of all the Pokémon in your collection including their picture, name, type, CP value, and IV value.

That is it.

Give yourself a pat on the back as you have now learned to snipe all those high IV, rare and legendary Pokémon without even moving away from your comfortable couch. Now it’s time to catch all the Pokemon and win all those gym battles in your neighborhood! 😉

Frequently Asked Questions & Troubleshooting

I spin PokeStop 40 times but my account is still soft banned. What should I do?

The loophole we used to use to unban the account by spinning Pokestop 40 times has been blocked by Niantic. Now the only way to unban your account is to wait for about 2 hours.

How can I avoid any possible soft ban from sniping?

Sniping has become harder than before. The only possible way to avoid any type of possible ban while sniping is to wait for two hours between every snipe.

Whenever I try to catch Pokemon it flees, what to do?

Your account has been soft-banned. Please wait for around 2 to 6 hours and then try to play again.

How much do I have to wait for my account to unban? What is the cooldown time for softban?

The simple answer is 2 hours.

Niantic has blocked the 40x PokeStop spinning loophole and has now implemented a cooldown time, which means if you have traveled 500km to snipe Pokemon then your account will be soft banned for 1 hour. Here are some estimated cooldown timings for soft bans depending on the distance you have traveled:

Distance (KM)Cool Down Time
1 KM1 minute
3 KM2 minutes
7 KM5 minutes
10 KM7 minutes
12 KM8 minutes
18 KM10 minutes
30 KM15 minutes
65 KM22 minutes
81 KM25 minutes
250 KM45 minutes
500 KM1 hour
700 KM1.25 hours
1000 KM1.5 hours
1500+ KM2 hours

PokeSniper app has been force closed. How to solve it?

You might be running an older version of the PokeSniper app. Please try to uninstall the app and install the latest PokeSniper APK. It should fix the problem.

Pokemon fled. First time I caught the Pokemon successfully but the second time it fled. What is the issue?

You have been soft banned because of quickly sniping 2 Pokemons as Niantic now checks encounter coordinates too. Please check the cooldown timetable given above to find out how much time you need to wait before sniping another Pokemon. This is the only way to avoid soft bans.

My sniped Pokemon is slashed/crossed out.

This means Niantic servers have detected that you have caught Pokemon by cheating/sniping. Now you can not use those slashed Pokemon in gyms and can not evolve. But you can use them in battles or completely get rid of them by transferring them to another account.

What is Pokehash? Where can I find the Pokehash key?

After the release of Pokemon GO version 0.57.4, Legacy API can not be used anymore. The only possible workaround for third-party apps like Pokesniper to work is by using the Pokehash key (i.e. Bossland API hashing service).

  • For starters, the PokeSniper app automatically uses a shared Pokehash key which is automatically obtained from their server.
  • For serious snipers, you can buy your personal Pokehash key from PogoDev, which usually lasts for 31 days.

Conclusion

I have tried my best to keep this tutorial simple and easy to follow so that everyone can enjoy sniping Pokemon using PokeSnipers. Did this guide help you with the proper download, installation, setup, and usage of the PokeSniper app on your Android device?
