A fan-made attempt to bring the look and feel of Grand Theft Auto V to Android. This is a community beta build, not the official Rockstar game.
What this port actually is
GTA V Mobile is a fan project that recreates the mood of Grand Theft Auto V on Android. An independent developer, New Games Corporation (credited to Mikhail Pozdnyakov), built it, and it ships under the package id com.NGC.GTAV. It is not a Rockstar Games release. It is also not a console or PC copy of GTA V somehow running on a phone. Think of it as a separate app that borrows the setting and the style, made by fans.
The build calls itself a test, and it means it. You drop into a slice of Los Santos, the fictional city modeled on Los Angeles, and you can walk around, hop into vehicles, and explore. It plays more like a tech demo of the GTA V concept on mobile than a finished game. Do not expect the full story, the missions, or the online modes you get from the real thing.
This is an early beta, so it shows its seams. Frame rates can dip on mid-range phones, the map is only partial, and plenty of systems are missing or half-finished. Go in expecting a polished port and you will come away let down. Go in curious about what fans pulled off and it is a fun thing to mess with.
The app at a glance
What the build includes
- A walkable slice of Los Santos
You can roam part of the open-world map on foot, soaking in the streets, buildings, and skyline that fans rebuilt.
- Drivable vehicles
A handful of cars are around to climb into and drive across the map, which is really the heart of the demo.
- Touchscreen controls
On-screen movement, camera, and driving controls are laid out for phones, so no controller is needed.
- Free to install, no paywall
The community build is free to grab. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase blocking the demo content.
- Easter eggs and small touches
Later test builds slipped in a few hidden references for fans to spot while they explore.
