What BlackHole does

BlackHole is a music player built with Flutter by independent developer Ankit Sangwan. It reads song metadata and streams from public catalogues like JioSaavn, YouTube Music, and Spotify, then plays everything inside one clean interface. Search a track, an artist, or a whole album, and the app finds a source it can stream and queues it up. No account wall. No paid tier hiding the better audio quality behind a charge.

The app is open-source and licensed under GPL v3.0, which is part of why you won't find it on the Google Play Store. It lives on GitHub and on direct APK mirrors instead. If you listen from a region where the big streaming subscriptions cost far more than local wages can stretch to, BlackHole gives you a way to reach a large library, sync the playlists you already keep on other services, and store music on the phone for the commute or for spots with weak data.

It is more than a player. Anything you can stream you can also download at up to 320kbps, with proper ID3 tags and album art written in. Your offline library stays tidy and shows up correctly in any other player you open it with.

What this build offers

  • Ad-free, no subscription.

The full library, search, and 320kbps downloads work from the very first launch. No upsell screen, and no paywall sitting on audio quality.

  • Multi-source streaming.

Songs resolve from the JioSaavn, YouTube Music, and Spotify catalogues, so a track that's missing on one source usually turns up on another.

  • Offline downloads with tags.

Save any song at up to 320kbps with ID3 tags and embedded album art, ready to play with no connection.

  • Playlist import.

Bring your existing Spotify and YouTube playlists straight into the app instead of rebuilding them track by track.

  • Synced lyrics.

Time-synced and plain lyrics show up next to the track for most popular songs.

  • 15+ languages and regional charts.

Browse the top local and global Spotify charts across more than fifteen music languages.
