What is BGMI
BGMI is short for Battlegrounds Mobile India, Krafton’s India-only take on the global PUBG Mobile battle royale. Up to 100 players drop onto Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Vikendi, Livik, and the rotating event maps. You scavenge weapons and armour, then fight to be the last squad standing as the play zone closes in. Matches run solo, duo, or four-player, in either TPP or FPP.
The Indian version launched in July 2021 to replace PUBG Mobile in the country. It was pulled from the Play Store in July 2022 during a national security review, then Krafton brought it back in May 2023 after a ten-month gap. The 4.3 update adds the Evolving Universe themed mode, refreshes the Royale Pass rewards, and ships engine optimisations that open 120 fps mode to more devices.
The official app is free with in-game purchases. UC, or Unknown Cash, is the premium currency you spend on crates, the Royale Pass, and outfit skins. The mod build on this page is a community variant that ships with premium content unlocked for offline practice and feature evaluation. It is sideload-only, since no mod build is allowed on the Play Store.

What this mod offers
The 4.3.0 mod build takes the standard Battlegrounds Mobile India client and adds practice-mode unlocks. Think of it as a sandbox for trying out the premium content set before you decide whether to buy UC on your live account.
- Unlocked premium outfit and weapon skins.
The full crate cosmetic set sits in the wardrobe for preview, including the Mythic-tier weapon finishes from the latest crate cycle.
- Royale Pass content preview.
RP rewards from the current and previous Cycles are unlocked in the preview screen, so you can see what you would earn before committing any UC.
- Practice-room aim assist.
Optional aim assistance is bundled for the training ground to help newer players learn recoil patterns. It stays off by default in ranked queues.
- UC display unlocked for store browsing.
The shop interface and crate odds tables are fully browsable without spending UC on cosmetics.
- Custom map and mode selection.
Switch quickly between Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Livik, and Vikendi from one menu, including limited-time modes when they are live.
- 120 fps unlock on supported devices.
The high-frame-rate mode flag is turned on for flagship devices that can hold the thermal headroom for it.
How to install
Battlegrounds Mobile India ships as an XAPK bundle, which is the APK plus the OBB resource pack. The split-package installer in most Android file managers handles it in one tap. If your file manager does not read XAPK, grab a free tool like Split APKs Installer first.
- Download the XAPK file
Tap the green download button on this page. The bundle runs about 1.3 GB, so get on Wi-Fi before you start.
- Allow installs from this source
Open Settings, search for
Install unknown apps, find your file manager or browser, and turn the permission on for this session. - Open the XAPK with a split-package installer
Most modern file managers (MiXplorer, Solid Explorer, ZArchiver) install XAPK on their own. If yours does not, install Split APKs Installer from F-Droid first.
- Tap Install
The installer pulls out the APK and the OBB resource pack, drops them in the right folders, then runs the package installer. Give it three to five minutes on a mid-range phone.
- First-run setup
Launch BGMI. Sign in with your existing Krafton or Facebook account, let the first resource patch finish, and accept the in-game data prompts.

Common questions
- Is BGMI free to play?
- Yes. The official BGMI client on Google Play is free, with optional in-app purchases for UC (premium currency), the Royale Pass, and cosmetic crates. The mod APK on this page is also free and unlocks the premium content set for offline practice and evaluation.
- Is BGMI available outside India?
- No. BGMI is geo-locked to Indian Play Store accounts. Players outside India usually run the global PUBG Mobile client instead. The sideload mod build on this page works on any device that meets the Android 5.1 minimum, but online play is still restricted by Krafton’s servers.
- Can I use my Krafton account on the mod build?
- Technically yes, but we do not recommend it. Krafton’s anti-cheat system can flag mod clients and issue temporary or permanent bans on accounts that log in through them. Use a throwaway account for practice and keep your main account on the Play Store build.
- What Android version do I need?
- BGMI 4.3.0 requires Android 5.1 (Lollipop) or above with at least 2 GB RAM. The 120 fps mode is gated to flagship devices like Snapdragon 8-series chips and recent iQOO, OnePlus, and ROG Phone models.
- How big is the download?
- The XAPK bundle is approximately 1.27 GB. After install, plan for 4 to 5 GB on disk once the in-game resource pack and Royale Pass assets finish downloading on first run.
