What Hungry Shark World is
Hungry Shark World is the bigger follow-up to the original Hungry Shark Evolution. FGOL built it, and Ubisoft Entertainment runs it now. The idea is easy to grasp. You steer a shark through a feeding frenzy, swallow anything that fits in your jaws, and grow big enough to take on bosses, planes, and submarines. Under that simple loop is a deep progression system with 43 shark species, eight size tiers, four open-world maps, and a regular stream of seasonal events.
The maps carry the whole game. The Pacific Islands serve up tropical reefs and crowded tourist beaches. The Arctic Ocean hides icebergs and trapped explorers. The Arabian Sea drops you near oil rigs and shipwrecks. The South China Sea throws you into a flooded city full of people who never see you coming. Each map has its own currency, missions, and hidden objects, so all that early grinding to unlock new sharks pays off with fresh hunting grounds instead of the same levels again.
The standard release is free, with ads and in-app purchases for gold and gems. The mod build on this page swaps the paywall for unlimited currency, unlocks every shark, and turns off the rewarded ads that gate certain rescues. The gameplay stays the same, so Google Play Leaderboards and Achievements still work if you sign in with a sandbox account.
What the mod unlocks
The 7.8.1 mod build pairs the standard Ubisoft release with a save-state patch that pre-fills your currency and ownership flags. The gameplay, missions, and update path do not change. Only the wallet and inventory look different from a clean install.
- Unlimited gold and gems. Both currencies start maxed out and do not drain during normal play, so upgrades, accessories, and shark unlocks are affordable right away.
- All 43 sharks unlocked. The full roster shows up on the shark select screen, including the Megalodon, the Big Daddy, and the Apex tier predators you would otherwise grind hours to reach.
- Premium gadgets and pets. Jetpacks, lasers, headphones, baby sharks, octopus pets, and bald eagle companions are all open, so the gold paywall on the gadget shop is gone.
- Rewarded ads disabled. The "watch an ad to revive" prompt during a run gets skipped on its own, so an offline session never breaks stride.
- SuperSize, Hypnosis, and Apex abilities accessible. The end-game abilities tied to Extinction Mode work on any shark that supports them, not only the late-game Apex tier.
- No subscription nags. The store and currency screens load clean, without the upsell prompts that start interrupting the vanilla game after a few runs.
How to install the APK
This is the normal Android sideload, nothing tricky. About four taps on a recent phone once you have let your file manager install unknown apps.
- Download the APK. Tap the green download button on this page. The 227 MB file lands in your default Downloads folder.
- Allow installs from this source. Open Settings, search for
Install unknown apps, find your file manager or browser, and switch the permission on for that one app. - Open the downloaded APK. Tap the file in Downloads. Android's package installer opens and lists the permissions Hungry Shark World is asking for.
- Tap Install. Let the progress bar finish. The install runs about 30 seconds on a recent phone.
- Launch from the home screen. Skip the cloud-save prompt on the first run if you want to keep the mod balances. Sign in to Google Play Games only after the unlocked roster has loaded.
