What is NSWhatsApp

NSWhatsApp is a modified build of WhatsApp Messenger maintained by the NS Mods team, authored by Nairton Silva. It runs the same core chat engine and contact graph as official WhatsApp. On top of that it adds the kind of customisation the stock app keeps locked away: themes, font swaps, higher file-share ceilings, per-contact last-seen controls, message scheduling, and the 3D-styled chat interface that gave the mod its name.

The mod is aimed at people who want WhatsApp's reach without WhatsApp's interface limits. Heavy senders push files past the stock cap to share video and audio at better quality. Privacy-minded users hide read receipts one contact at a time. Theme collectors swap the entire skin in a few taps. Here is the catch. NSWhatsApp ships outside the Play Store, it isn't signed by WhatsApp LLC, and it breaks Meta's terms of service. The account-ban risk is real if WhatsApp's anti-abuse systems flag the install, so treat any number you sign in with as expendable.

Version 10.11 is the current NSWhatsApp 3D build showing up across the mirror sites, and that is the number we track. The 3D in the name points to the styling of the bubbles and the header. It isn't a literal 3D rendering pipeline.

What this mod adds

Customisation, privacy, stretched limits

  • Theme library

Hundreds of downloadable skins covering chat bubbles, headers, lock screens, and tick styles. New themes ship through the in-app feed.

  • Higher media ceilings

Send video files larger than the 111 MB stock cap, share up to 90 images in one batch, attach audio up to 111 MB.

  • Granular privacy

Hide last seen, online status, blue ticks, and the second blue tick on a per-contact basis. Anti-revoke retains deleted messages.

  • Message scheduling

Queue messages for a future date or time. Useful for birthday greetings, time-zone-shifted reminders, and recurring sends.

  • Auto-reply

Set canned responses for busy windows. Trigger by contact, group, or keyword. Useful for shopkeepers and freelancers handling enquiries.

  • Longer status posts

250-character status text vs the 139-character stock limit. Status videos up to 7 minutes long instead of the standard 30 seconds.

Sideload install

How to install NSWhatsApp on Android

  1. Back up your current WhatsApp chats

Open the stock WhatsApp, go to Settings, Chats, Chat backup, and run a manual backup. NSWhatsApp can restore from the same local backup folder.

  2. Uninstall the stock WhatsApp if needed

NSWhatsApp can coexist with the official client only if it uses a different package suffix. To run NSWhatsApp on your primary number, uninstall the official app first.

  3. Enable installs from unknown sources

Open Settings, Apps, Special access, Install unknown apps. Allow the browser you'll download from to install APK files.

  4. Download the APK from the green button above

Tap Download Latest Mod APK. Wait for the 111 MB file to land in your Downloads folder.

  5. Open the APK and install

Tap the downloaded file. Android may scan it; tap Install Anyway when prompted. Accept the requested permissions on first launch.

  6. Verify with your phone number, restore backup

Enter your phone number, complete the OTP step, then let NSWhatsApp detect and restore the local backup. Chats appear within a couple of minutes.

Risk profile and the wider mod family

NSWhatsApp sits inside a wider family of unofficial WhatsApp clients that includes GBWhatsApp Pro, FM WhatsApp, YoWhatsApp, and the newer AGWhatsApp build. They all share one lineage. Each one forks the WhatsApp APK, patches the obfuscated client to surface hidden settings, then re-signs the package with the modder's own certificate. The feature lists overlap a lot. The real differences come down to theme depth, the default privacy posture, and how quickly the modder folds in new base versions.

That shared risk hits every member of the family. Meta's Terms of Service flatly forbid third-party clients, and the platform hands out temporary or permanent bans when it spots a modded signature. Most ban reports are temporary, roughly 24 to 72 hours, and they lift once the user reinstalls the official client. Some accounts catch a hard ban instead, usually when the install is paired with bulk messaging or odd sign-in patterns. Read the mod's "anti-ban" label as friction, not armor. It slows detection down but it doesn't stop it.

The sensible play. Keep a spare phone number for NSWhatsApp, treat the install as a try-before-buy look at features Meta might eventually bring into the main app, and back your chats up locally instead of to Google Drive, since Meta won't accept backups from a third-party client. For anything you can't afford to lose, like work threads, two-factor reset paths, or payment messages, stay on the official WhatsApp from the Play Store.

About this listing. NSWhatsApp is a third-party WhatsApp mod with no affiliation to WhatsApp LLC or Meta. Installing it sideloads an unofficial APK signed by the NS Mods team and breaks WhatsApp's Terms of Service, which means an account can be restricted temporarily or for good. We host the file for reference and convenience for readers who can't reach the official Play Store. For everyday messaging on your primary number, the official WhatsApp from the Play Store is the safer pick.
