What this build actually is
Pokemon Fire Red never got an official Android release. What you download here is a packaged build that bundles a Game Boy Advance emulator with the Fire Red ROM inside one APK. Open it and the game boots straight into the Kanto intro. There is no emulator to configure, no BIOS files, no ROM to import. If the usual emulator-plus-ROM routine has tripped you up before, that is the whole point of this build.
Underneath, this is the same 2004 GBA title that introduced a generation to Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. You play as Red, travel across the Kanto region, and fill out the Pokedex with all 151 original creatures. Eight Gym Leaders stand in your way before the Elite Four and the Champion. The Sevii Islands post-game from the original cartridge is here too.
Since this is an unofficial emulator package and not a Google Play listing, the credited original developer is Game Freak and Nintendo. The Android wrapper around the game is community-built. That is why you grab it from a source like this one instead of the Play Store.

What this package offers
- Emulator bundled in
No separate GBA emulator or ROM download. The package runs the game on its own from the very first launch.
- Quick save and load anywhere
Save states let you snapshot your progress at any moment and jump right back in, alongside the game's own in-built save system.
- Touchscreen controls
An on-screen D-pad and buttons sit where your thumbs expect them, so the GBA layout works fine without a physical controller.
- All 151 original Pokemon
The full Kanto roster is here, from the three starters all the way to legendaries like Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.
- Full campaign and post-game
Eight Gyms, the Elite Four, the Champion battle, and the Sevii Islands content all carry over straight from the original cartridge.
- Plays offline
Once it is installed, the game runs with no network connection. That keeps it light on data and playable anywhere you happen to be.
