What UpdateMe does

Keeping modded apps up to date is the tedious part of running them. Each one comes from a different site, every site updates on its own schedule, and the only way to spot a new build is to keep checking by hand. UpdateMe pulls that whole chore onto one screen. You choose the apps you care about, it watches their sources, and it pings you the moment a newer version goes live.

The app is built by André Freire Ferreira and ships as an open project under the Apache 2.0 license. Under the hood it is a React Native build with a clean Material Design front end, so the catalog, the version picker, and the notification settings all feel native rather than bolted together. Because it handles modified builds, it was never listed on Google Play and has always come as a direct APK.

What sets it apart from a plain download list is choice. Most apps have more than one modder and more than one release floating around. UpdateMe puts those options side by side, so you decide which version and which provider to install instead of taking whatever a random page hands you.

Key features

Update alerts
Get a notification the moment a tracked app or provider publishes a newer build, so you never sit on a stale version.
Version choice
Pick the exact release and the modder you prefer from several listed sources rather than one fixed download.
Security scanning
Listed APKs are screened for malware and tampering before they reach the download list, cutting the risk of bad files.
App discovery
Browse a curated catalog of modded apps with multiple builds and modders available for each entry.
Background checks
Detects a device restart and quietly re-checks your tracked apps for updates without you opening the app.
Community input
Suggest apps you want added to the catalog and help shape which titles get featured next.

A look inside

UpdateMe tracked apps update list

What this build offers

UpdateMe is open source and free, so the value is not unlocked premium tiers. It is the convenience it adds on top of an otherwise messy process of finding, vetting, and refreshing modded apps.

  • One place for every modded app.

One catalog stands in for a dozen bookmarked download pages and forum threads.

  • Push alerts on new versions.

The app tells you when a tracked title or provider ships a fresher build.

  • Pick your modder and release.

Where several variants exist, you choose the version and the source you trust.

  • Scanned before listed.

Files are checked for malware and tampering, so you are not blindly trusting a stranger's APK.

  • No account, no ads, no paywall.

The whole app is free and open under Apache 2.0, with nothing locked behind a subscription.

  • Lightweight footprint.

At roughly 15 MB it stays out of the way and runs fine on Android 5.0 and newer.
