Hills of Steel tank mod
Physics-based 2D tank brawler from the Hill Climb Racing studio family. Forty-plus tanks, hand-drawn battlefields, and a mod build with the coin and gem grind removed.
Why this mod exists
Hills of Steel is built around a long upgrade ladder. Coins unlock new tanks, gems buy permanent boosts, and the campaign expects hours of grinding before the Reaper or the Mammoth becomes a sensible pick. The mod build removes that economic friction so the gameplay is the focus: which chassis matches the terrain, when to time a homing rocket, where to flip into the air on a Moon Breaker ramp.
The official app on Google Play is a free download with rewarded ads and a paid IAP tier on top. Players in cost-restricted markets land in the same Play Store storefront as everyone else but face local-currency pricing that often makes the gem packs unworkable. The modded APK on this page treats the campaign and the tank roster as already-purchased content so the same physics engine plays the same way at every progression tier.
Note that this is a single-player and 1v1 / 2v2 local game core, not a competitive ladder with PvP matchmaking that would expose unfair upgrade gaps to other players. The mod's perks change the local experience, not someone else's match.

What this mod offers
- Unlimited coins.
The currency that gates the tank roster and the chassis upgrades is treated as already-earned. Buy without grinding the campaign for hours.
- Unlimited gems.
The premium currency that powers permanent stat boosts and crate unlocks behaves the same way. No IAP needed to access the gem-tier content.
- All tanks unlocked.
Reaper, Mammoth, Cobra, Joker, Titan, Phoenix, Atlas, Siege, Kong, and the rest of the forty-plus roster are selectable from the garage on first launch.
- Max-level upgrades.
Firepower, armor, speed, and special-weapon tiers ship at their ceiling so each tank performs the way the late-game build is meant to feel.
- Ad-free play.
The interstitial ads between rounds and the rewarded-ad prompts at level fail are removed from the gameplay loop.
- All game modes accessible.
Arcade, Versus, Winter War, MidSummer War, Desert Assault, Jungle Patrol, Moon Breaker, Mars Invader, and Boss Rush are available without progression locks.
