Hills of Steel tank mod
A physics-based 2D tank brawler from the same studio family behind Hill Climb Racing. You get more than forty tanks, hand-drawn battlefields, and a mod build that strips out the coin and gem grind.
Why this mod exists
Hills of Steel is built around a long upgrade ladder. Coins unlock new tanks, gems buy permanent boosts, and the campaign expects hours of grinding before the Reaper or the Mammoth feels like a sensible pick. The mod build takes that economic friction away, so you can focus on the part that matters: which chassis suits the terrain, when to time a homing rocket, where to flip into the air on a Moon Breaker ramp.
The official app on Google Play is a free download with rewarded ads and a paid IAP tier layered on top. Players in cost-restricted markets see the same Play Store listing as everyone else, but they hit local-currency pricing that often makes the gem packs unworkable. The modded APK on this page treats the campaign and the full tank roster as already-purchased content. Same physics engine, same feel, no progression wall.
Worth a note: this is a single-player and 1v1 / 2v2 local game core, not a competitive ladder with PvP matchmaking where unfair upgrade gaps would land on other players. The mod's perks change your local experience, not someone else's match.

What this mod offers
- Unlimited coins.
The currency that gates the tank roster and the chassis upgrades is treated as already-earned. Buy what you want without grinding the campaign for hours.
- Unlimited gems.
The premium currency that powers permanent stat boosts and crate unlocks works the same way. No IAP needed to reach the gem-tier content.
- All tanks unlocked.
Reaper, Mammoth, Cobra, Joker, Titan, Phoenix, Atlas, Siege, Kong, and the rest of the forty-plus roster are selectable from the garage on first launch.
- Max-level upgrades.
Firepower, armor, speed, and special-weapon tiers all ship maxed out, so each tank plays the way the late-game build is meant to feel.
- Ad-free play.
The interstitial ads between rounds and the rewarded-ad prompts on a level fail are pulled out of the gameplay loop.
- All game modes accessible.
Arcade, Versus, Winter War, MidSummer War, Desert Assault, Jungle Patrol, Moon Breaker, Mars Invader, and Boss Rush are all open, with no progression locks in the way.
