What is Zombie Waves
Zombie Waves is a doomsday roguelite shooter from Fun Formula. You fight off waves of undead with one thumb, and underneath that simple combat sits a roguelike skill tree, a base-building loop, and a roster of heroes to collect. Every run drops you into a corner of a fallen city. The zombies keep coming, and each wave hits harder than the last. Between waves you pick a skill, upgrade a weapon, and try to survive long enough to take down a boss.
The free version on Google Play is the exact same game, but the progression is built around in-app purchases. Premium currency speeds up hero leveling, weapon upgrades, and skill unlocks. The Mod APK on this page takes that grind off the table. God mode keeps you alive through bosses that would shred a free-tier loadout. Unlimited money lets you build out the full skill set without farming for hours. And the combat robot, which normally sits behind a long cooldown, stays ready on every single wave.
Two kinds of players tend to land here. Some live in regions where the Pro hero packs cost more than the local market can reasonably support, so they use the mod to play the same content paying players get elsewhere. Others are sizing up the game before they spend anything, and the mod lets them test the mid-game and end-game systems the free version keeps behind a paywall. Either way, both groups end up on the same build.
Gameplay loop
A run starts on a wrecked street, in an alley, or up on a rooftop. Your character auto-fires at whatever is closest while you steer with one thumb. After each wave a picker hands you three random upgrades to choose from: more bullets per shot, ricochet, fire damage, a homing missile drone, faster reload, an area heal. The picks stack and feed off each other as the run goes on. By wave fifteen a good build can fire eight projectiles at once, each one splitting into three on impact, all of it trailing fire. By wave thirty the whole screen is buried under damage numbers.
A boss shows up every ten waves. They telegraph their wind-ups, dash at you, slam the ground in set patterns, and switch phases once they drop to half health. In the free version you are expected to grind upgrades between runs just to get past wave thirty. The modded build skips that wall by handing you the full upgrade tree and the long-cooldown robot companion right from wave one.
There is more than the standard mode here too. The game ships with a competitive co-op tower climb, a vehicle racing variant, a base-building strand where you fortify a home camp between expeditions, and a lineup of heroes who each play differently. The mod features carry over into all of them.

FAQ
Does the mod work offline?
The single-player wave runs, the base building, and the roguelike modes all work offline. The competitive co-op tower climb and the live-event modes need a connection to the game's servers, and those endpoints check your build against the official client. A modded build can get flagged there, so play the online modes on the Play Store version if your account matters to you.
What Android version does it need?
Android 8.1 or higher. The XAPK bundle runs on universal architecture, so both arm64-v8a and armeabi-v7a chipsets are covered. Plan on 4GB of RAM as a soft floor if you want things to stay smooth at wave thirty and beyond.
Will my Play Store progress carry over?
No. The modded build keeps its own local save. The Google Play Games Services sync that the official build uses is not wired into the modded variant. Think of the modded install as a separate playground, not a continuation of your Play Store save.
Is the file the same as the Play Store download?
The base game data is the same. The build has been changed to drop in the Mod menu and the cheat handlers. Signature verification fails on the modded build, which is why a Play Store auto-update will not install over it. If you keep the modded version, you update it by hand, grabbing a newer modded build whenever one gets posted.
